AI Transformation Sprint · 8 weeks

Make your product team AI-native.

The same factory we build with, installed in your team and connected to your repo, Linear, Slack, even Telegram, so your team gives agents work the way they already talk to each other. One agent a week, each co-built with a Champion on your side who owns it from day one. Your engineers keep control: agents open pull requests, humans review and merge.

The eight weeks

One agent a week,
each one owned by your team.

Week 1

Kickoff and scope lock

Not a second audit: the Assessment already told us what to build. This week turns it into a plan. Targeted sessions with one or two technical contacts rather than the whole team, the two use cases locked in detail, access granted, conventions agreed and the Champions briefed.

Week 2

The Harness

Repository, playbooks and the knowledge base that becomes your tech team's brain. The scope is deliberately limited to the software and the product: this is not a company-wide transformation.

Week 3

Product Agent

The agent that turns ideas into tickets with acceptance criteria and test steps. Its Champion on your side co-builds it with us and owns it from the start, so it is theirs before we leave.

Week 4

Design Agent

Takes a defined feature from the Product agent and builds an interactive prototype from your design system. You click the thing before anyone writes code, which is where most of the expensive misunderstandings get caught.

Week 5

Coding Agent: work it can do in one pass

The agent picks up “ready” tickets that are already small enough to finish in one go, and opens pull requests for review. We start where it is reliable and the review burden is low, because that is how a team learns to trust it.

Week 6

Coding Agent: work it has to break down

The harder half: a ticket that is really a small project. The agent plans it, splits it into sub-tasks and works through them. Most rollouts stop before this point. It is where the leverage actually is.

Week 7

Knowledge Agent and the Product Brain

A knowledge graph of your product, product-specific rather than a company-wide brain, connected to every agent. The Knowledge Agent is the human way in and out: it asks you to approve what goes in, and it answers questions about what the product already knows.

Week 8

Real tests, observability and handover

Test coverage on what the agents actually shipped, not just the happy path. Observability wired up so you can see what every agent did and why, trace a bad pull request back to the ticket that caused it, and catch drift when a model changes under you. Then handover: your Champions running the factory with us watching rather than driving.

What you keep

The factory stays
when we leave.

◆

Agent infrastructure

Running in your environment, on your own AI subscription, wired into the tools your team already uses.

◆

A product brain as a knowledge graph

Your product mapped as a graph and connected to every agent, so they stop guessing at context. Product-specific, not a company-wide brain. The Knowledge Agent is the way in and out: nothing enters without a human approving it, and anyone can ask it what the product already knows.

◆

Champions who own it

Each agent is co-built with someone on your team who owns it from the start: up to four Champions, one per agent, or fewer people taking more than one. When we leave, the people running the factory are the people who built it with us.

Pricing

From €26,000.

AI Factory Assessment

One week. Audit, maturity score, agent roadmap, fixed quote for the Sprint.

€4–6K

AI Transformation Sprint

Eight weeks, scoped and fixed by the Assessment. That fee is credited against it.

From €26K

Factory subscription + Fractional Head of AI

Monthly, 6-month minimum. Agent tuning, evaluation of new models, a monthly review.

€2–5K / month

Every Sprint is quoted from an Assessment. That week is where the fixed price comes from, so it is the first step rather than an optional extra, and the fee comes off the Sprint. It also means the Sprint starts with your codebase already read and your people already identified.

Below three engineers the economics don't work yet. If that's you, the Product Studio is usually the better door.

Your repo, your accounts

We work inside your repository and your cloud from day one. Nothing is held hostage in ours.

Never used to train models

Your code and your data are never used to train AI models, by us or by anyone we use.

GDPR, EU regions on request

We host where you need us to, and every agent action is logged so you can see what changed and why.

Under NDA from day one

Before we see a line of your code. The same standard we are held to on every due diligence.

Workshops That Aligned Product Vision, Strategy & Technology

We hired Above The Clouds to organise multiple workshops for our tech and product team, such as product vision & strategy and technical analysis of product & methodologies. Their work was meticulous, they took the time to analyze thoroughly rather than jumping straight to solutions, ensuring a solid understanding of the project before making recommendations. Their approach was neutral and non-prescriptive, allowing the company to step back and reflect without being forced into predefined solutions.

I really appreciated their positive and understanding attitude, their ability to act as a mediator, and their support in high-level reflections such as aligning vision, business, and strategy. Their technical expertise was consistently praised, even beyond what was directly applied during the workshops.

Strategic CTO support that truly delivered

We reached out to Above the Clouds during a key turning point for BigCaptain: the transition from a startup to a scale-up. As our SaaS product grew, we began to notice that our overall development velocity and quality were starting to decline. We decided to bring in Above the Clouds on a fractional CTO consultancy mission to help us realign and strengthen our R&D organization.

They started with a thorough audit that pinpointed clear, actionable areas for improvement. Impressed by their accuracy and strategic insight, we extended the mission to the implementation phase, during which they supported us in transforming every critical aspect of our R&D operations, from organization and methodology to architecture, code quality, and testing. A few months after implementing these actions, we've seen a remarkable improvement in our team's effectiveness, cohesion, and output. The results are tangible, and we now have a clear roadmap for continued progress.

Beyond their technical and strategic expertise, what truly stood out was the human quality of the Above the Clouds team. Their transparency, commitment, fair play, and constant drive for excellence deeply resonated with our own values at BigCaptain and made the collaboration both effective and genuinely enjoyable. Above the Clouds didn't just help us grow, they helped us grow better.

Building Scalable Music Platforms with Long-Term Technical Excellence

I worked closely with Above The Clouds' team of full stack architects and developers for 5 years on client projects from 2013 to 2018. Our main projects included Groovy Music, a children's music learning and creativity app, and the MusicFirst Application Cloud, a user authentication and management system that became a central hub for many of the client's apps - still accessed every day by thousands of educational users.

The team at Above The Clouds are excellent communicators. They quickly understand client needs and create clear, meaningful development pathways that give all stakeholders visibility into deliverables, timeframes, and costs. They have the rare ability to prototype UI in real time while also thinking deeply about the technical challenges required to make features stable and scalable in production environments. Over the years working together, Above The Clouds developed a broad expertise in large-scale systems - both from an organisational perspective and through refining the development methodologies needed to build robust yet flexible, scalable platforms.

I wholeheartedly recommend Above The Clouds and look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with them again.

Questions

Before you
book a call.

What ships in the 8 weeks?
Week 1 is kickoff and scope lock with one or two of your technical people: the two use cases locked in detail, access granted and the Champions briefed. It is not a second audit, because the Assessment already did that. Week 2 installs the Harness: repository, playbooks and the knowledge base. Then one agent a week: the Product Agent in week 3, the Design Agent in week 4, the Coding Agent on well-scoped tickets in week 5 and on work it has to break down itself in week 6. Week 7 is the Knowledge Agent and a product-specific Product Brain. Week 8 is real test coverage, observability so you can see what every agent did and why, and handover to your Champions.
How much of our team does this take?
Less than people expect. The audit is one or two technical contacts rather than the whole team, and the scope stays on the software and the product, not the whole company. What we do need is a Champion per agent: someone who co-builds it with us and owns it afterwards. That can be four people, one per agent, or a smaller group wearing more than one hat. Your call, as long as every agent has a name against it.
What does it cost?
From €26,000 for the 8-week Sprint. The exact figure is fixed by the Assessment before you commit, so you are never quoted a range. The Assessment fee is credited against it.
Who owns the code?
You do. Everything lives in your repository from day one, under your accounts. At handover you own the code, the agents and the product brain, and you can keep shipping without us.
Which AI models do you use?
Whichever is best for the job, built on Claude today, and we re-evaluate as new models ship. The factory runs on your own AI subscription, so you keep control of the spend and the data.
What about security and GDPR?
We work in your repository and your cloud, in EU regions where you need them, under an NDA. Your data and your code are never used to train AI models, and every agent action is logged so you can see what changed and why.
What happens after the Sprint?
Your team owns the factory and keeps shipping with it. Most teams then take the monthly subscription with a Fractional Head of AI: agent tuning, evaluation of new models and a monthly review, from €2,000 to €5,000 a month depending on team size.
How small a team is too small?
Below three engineers the economics don't work yet. If that's you, the Product Studio is usually the better door.
Do you work for equity?
No. Cash only, and the first phase is paid. We don't build products in exchange for equity.
