For investors

We tell you what the tech is really worth.

90+ technical due diligences for VCs, PE firms, M&A advisors and family offices. A clear risk verdict in 5 to 7 days, built for the people who have to act on it. From €8,000.

The process

Five to seven days.
One clear verdict.

01

Kickoff and access

We agree the questions that actually matter for this deal, and get read access to the codebase and the team's calendar. Under NDA, always.

02

Five structured sessions

With the CEO, CPO and CTO: vision and strategy, team and methodology, frontend and observability, backend and the AI layer, infrastructure and scalability. The meetings are also how we read the people.

03

Deep code analysis

Powered by TechSignal, our engineering intelligence platform: architecture, dependencies, test coverage, hotspots and the debt that doesn't show up in a demo.

04

Verdict and walkthrough

A risk verdict you can act on, what it costs to fix, what we'd do in the first 100 days, plus an AI-readiness score for the target. Delivered as a walkthrough, not a PDF over the wall.

The platform

Powered by TechSignal.

◆

Engineering intelligence, not vibes

TechSignal reads the whole codebase: architecture, dependencies, test coverage, complexity hotspots and where the risk is concentrated.

◆

An AI-readiness score on every DD

How ready the target is to ship with agents, scored on the same 4-level framework we use with our own clients.

◆

A second door for the portfolio

When the diligence shows a team that needs to ship faster, we can build the product or make the team AI-native. Only if you and the company both want it.

Pricing

From €8,000.

Traditional firms charge €10,000–€20,000 and take three to six weeks. We deliver in five to seven days, because the code analysis is automated and the judgment comes from people who have shipped production software for 25 years. Our fee is payable whether or not the deal closes: the verdict has value either way.

Great experience for a tech DD

We had the pleasure of working with Above The Clouds during a technical due diligence process for a startup we were considering re-investing in. Their expertise truly stood out. The team delivered a thorough analysis, pinpointing critical aspects that required our attention, and provided actionable insights. The report was incredibly detailed yet remained concrete and easy to understand, which made decision-making much more straightforward. They worked highly autonomously throughout the process, respecting our timeline and ensuring everything was completed on schedule.

Above The Clouds' ability to combine technical depth with practical recommendations is exceptional. I highly recommend their services for anyone in need of reliable and insightful IT due diligence.

More than just Technical Due Diligence!

The Technical DD went far beyond what I expected for a VC investment review. It wasn't just an assessment, it was a genuine sharing of experience and advice aimed at helping us achieve better results. Highly recommended for any founder.

High-impact technical audit by Above The Clouds

After five deep-dive sessions, Nicolas from Above the Clouds delivered a highly relevant technical audit report to Babysittor. He took the time to debrief the findings thoroughly with all our key stakeholders, ensuring total alignment. What stood out most was the post-audit support; Nicolas remained engaged and continued to offer valuable insights well after the mission was officially completed.

This audit was a game-changer for my engineering team. It provided a clear roadmap to address our technical weaknesses and opened our eyes to the full potential of AI-assisted coding.

An excellent investment with clear ROI. No regrets—thank you very much Nicolas.

Technical DD for VC investment in Cybersecurity

Process / delivery: The report was delivered quickly and within the promised timelines.

Communication was straightforward and quick, I particularly appreciated that the points I had raised upfront were incorporated in a structured way (you can tell the report is designed to support decision-making, not just to tick boxes).

Questions

Before you
send us a deal.

How long does a Tech Due Diligence take?
Five to seven days from kickoff to the verdict, including interviews with the target's team and a walkthrough of the findings with you.
What does it cost?
From €8,000, depending on the size of the codebase and the depth you need.
What do I actually receive?
A decision tool, not a filing-cabinet report: the risk verdict, what it would cost to fix, what we'd do in the first 100 days, and an AI-readiness score for the target.
Do you work with the company afterwards?
Only if both sides want it and it doesn't compromise the diligence. Portfolio companies often come back to us later to build or to make their team AI-native.
What about security and GDPR?
We work in your repository and your cloud, in EU regions where you need them, under an NDA. Your data and your code are never used to train AI models, and every agent action is logged so you can see what changed and why.
